Ember & Oak started with a simple conviction: the best food comes from knowing exactly where it was raised. We work directly with Texas ranchers and Hill Country farms to source beef, pork, and produce that's raised right — then let live oak and pecan wood do the rest.
Chef Marcus Reyes spent a decade in kitchens from San Antonio to New York before coming home to Austin. His cooking is rooted in Texas tradition but unafraid of bold flavor — smoke, char, acid, and fat in the right proportions.
Every protein on our menu has a return address. We visit our ranching partners in person, understand how the animals are raised, and build menus around what's genuinely in season — not what's convenient.
We recommend booking at least a week in advance, especially for Friday and Saturday evenings. Walk-ins are always welcome at the bar.
